Learn and practice targeted exercises to strengthen your communication skills, boost confidence, and enhance body awareness.

Experience an hour-long live, guided workout, including mVm core exercises, warm up skills, and a chance to reconnect with your own Active Breath.
This is a practical, somatic (body-based) approach to mVm–appropriate for newbies and old hats. Beginners will receive enough instruction to approach exercises effectively, while mVm veterans will have an opportunity to reconnect with fundamentals and hone their technique.

Explore breath, movement, and voice to bring authenticity and emotional range to your performances.
2.5-hour weekly Zoom class + access to mVm Gym’s live virtual workouts (60-min, 2x per week) for two months.

This course is a fast-paced kick start to incorporate mVm into your acting. We will develop your awareness of self and sound, beginning with the core mVm concept of Active Breath.
We will move through foundational exercises to release muscle tension, develop flexibility in the voice, increase awareness of the breath, and apply all of this in real time.
You will practice these new skills under increasing levels of complexity, which will encourage access to new, more efficient vocal habits under performance conditions—skills you can start using right away.

This course is for anyone who wants to explore the core mVm concept of Active Breath and its effect on their voices, their habits, and the way they are perceived in the world.
It’s for anyone with an interest in public speaking, clearer communication, or simply a desire to develop their Somatic Practice.
You will learn foundational mVm exercises, and apply mVm to conversation and prepared text–whatever that looks like in your life and work.
Our exercises will help you build new, more efficient vocal habits, and your newfound awareness of breath will help you access these habits when you really need them!
We won’t tell you what sounds best; instead we’ll help you discover your own embodied sound.

Meet the mVm Gym Teachers
Tania Chelnov
Tania Chelnov is an actor and voice teacher who has spent over a decade guiding students as they explore and reveal their most expressive, confident, and unique selves through the Miller Voice Method. She is on the faculty at Purchase College in New York, in the mVm Teacher Certification Program.
Sarah Koestner
Sarah is a coach, teacher, and actor. She has been a practitioner of the Miller Voice Method for over twenty years and a teacher for over a decade. She's passionate about supporting actors in developing presence through their connection to the breath.
Kyle is an internationally recognized actor and an NYU Grad Acting-trained mVm Certified Teacher, who can help you develop charisma, authenticity, and vocal stamina.

Echo Sibley
Echo Sunyata Sibley is an Actor, Singer, Writer, Educator and founding member of the international, feminist, clown-noir Troupe, Women From Mars. After years of working and teaching in Genova and Leivi, Italy, she is now an Assistant Professor of Theatre at West Texas A & M University. She works extensively with actors and singers alike.
Cortney brings her experience as an actor and educator to help students explore voice, body, and text with curiosity and courage, uncovering presence, freedom, and resilience. She is on the faculty at the University of Virginia and is a certified Miller Voice Method teacher.

Robert David Grant
Rob is an actor and educator currently on faculty at Dartmouth College, where he teaches Acting, Voice and Shakespeare. As an actor Rob appeared on stage in New York and around the country, as well as on TV shows including Succession, The Equalizer and The Orville. Rob has an MFA from Yale School of Drama.
Matthew Mastromatteo
Matthew (They/He) is a NYC-based actor, director, producer, and educator. Matthew has worked at a number of tri-state area Universities, including LIU: Brooklyn, LIU: Post, Marymount Manhattan College, and Sarah Lawrence College. They are an integrationist whose approach and focus aims to unlock individual presence through command of body, voice, and self.
